IAPP antibody - 100 µg
Host : Rabbit
Clonality: Polyclonal
Clone:
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: islet amyloid polypeptide
Purity: ≥95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Form: Liquid
Molecular weight: 10 kDa
Uniprot: P10997
Gene id: 3375
Background: IAPP, also known as Amylin, is commonly found in pancreatic islets of patients suffering diabetes mellitus type II, or harboring an insulinoma. IAPP is co-secreted with insulin by pancreatic β-cells and largely contributes to glycemic control. Studies suggest that this protein, like the related beta-amyloid(Abeta) associated with Alzheimer's disease, can induce apoptotic cell-death in particular cultured cells, an effect that may be relevant to the development of type II diabetes.
Field of research: Signal Transduction
Storage conditions: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol pH 7.3, -20°C for 12 months(Avoid repeated freeze
thaw cycles.)
Applications: ELISA, IHC
Dilution: IHC: 1:20-1:200
Target: IAPP
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified
Reactivity: Human
